Real Talk’s Privacy Policy exists to guide the collection and use of information submitted by individuals, schools, and organisations engaged with Real Talk and our affiliated ministries and events. 

The privacy of all individuals whom we interact with is very important to us and we are committed to protecting all personal, school, and organisation information we collect and hold. We do this by handling information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles in thePrivacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Collection of Your Information

Real Talk collects information about the schools and organisations we work with, staff at these schools and organisations, participants at our events, and various other people or groups who are interested in connecting with us. 

When you visit our website, purchase a product, or make an enquiry online or offline, you may provide us with personal, school and/or organisation information (such as name, address, email address, telephone numbers and/or credit/debit card information) that you knowingly choose to disclose.

We collect this information for the purposes of managing event bookings, communicating with you about our presentations and products, registering you to receive email newsletters or other materials, contacting you about upcoming events and initiatives, processing your order for products, or simply replying to a question you have. 

We do not share your information with outside parties except to the extent necessary (for example, sharing your address with our courier so that products you have ordered can be sent to your address). 

Collection and Use of Your Image

Events and activities of Real Talk and our ministries are often recorded by photograph, video or audio (*Images), for the purpose of recording the event or ministry and for use in creating promotional material. 

Where images are taken of minors (those under 18 yrs old) and the minor in question can be identified in the image, these images will not be used for the above purposes unless the appropriate media release form has been signed by that minor’s legal guardian(s). 

Accessing Your Information and Image

You can request access to the person information that Real Talk holds about you by contacting the Privacy Officer at admin@realtalkaustralia.com. 

We will do our best to provide copies of any use of your Image we may have on file, however we do not catalogue the Images we have on file, and therefore it may not be possible to access all copies of your Image upon requested.

Choice/Opt Out

If you have registered to receive communications from us and later change your mind, you may contact us to have your name and contact information removed from our distribution lists.

Correct/Update

If you wish to change personal information that is out of date or inaccurate at any time please contact us. In this case, we will take reasonable steps to correct any of your information which is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. 

Changes to this Policy

Changing practices and circumstances may require that we make changes to this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this website. Real Talk reserves the right to modify its website and/or this Privacy Policy at any time and clients and visitors are deemed to be apprised of and bound by any such modifications. Our goal is to provide all services to clients or visitors in an accessible, efficient and friendly manner while maintaining their privacy.
