TERMS, CONDITIONS & CANCELATION POLICY

Real Talk Booking Agreement and Cancellation Terms

General:

Real Talk considers email confirmation and/or the return of a booking form as a confirmation of a booking. Real Talk cannot guarantee holding a date for extended periods until bookings are confirmed. We ask that deposits are made soon after confirmation.

Real Talk will attempt to be accommodating if postponement, or cancellation occurs. If you wish to cancel following confirmation, additional fees may apply. If you wish to cancel or postpone (other than for serious and unavoidable circumstances such as mandated restrictions) at late notice (< 1 month), or after travel arrangements have been made, we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee. For full day bookings this will be the deposit fee plus expenses incurred. For individual seminars the cancellation fee will be 50% of the booking charge. For any cancellation, for any reason, inside 48hours, the cancellation fee is 100% of the booking fee plus expenses occurred.

Real Talk aims to do what is just and right and best for God’s Kingdom. We are built on strong relationships and mutual respect within professional relationships. We understand that at times situations change, such as a new school leadership, or teacher illness, but we can no longer carry the financial burden when booking arrangements cannot be met. If Real Talk is practically or financially disadvantaged by a cancellation, through no fault of our own, we will likely apply a cancellation fee. Thank-you for your understanding.

Deposits:

Real Talk asks for a deposit of $750 (+GST) for all bookings of $1500 or more. The amount is non-refundable and will be deducted from your final invoice. In the case of cancellations/postponements that don’t incur a fee, we will hold the deposit for future bookings/credit for up to 24 months.

Other:

Visit www.realtalkeducation.org to find online learning options for every grade from 5-12. For schools who cannot have a live presentation we believe this is a great option.

Schools who currently have “in person” bookings will receive a 50% discount code via email.

Covid-19, Changes and Cancellations:

Covid has had a significant impact on our organisation.

When requesting a booking we ask you to consider these policies.

General Statements:

We are committed to working with booking contacts to ensure a highly engaging outcome and want to ensure the formation of students continues through any challenges. This includes respecting the commercial realities of the situation.

If you are not happy with arrangements or have practical challenges (E.g., Financial) please let us know. Please also be aware that we will now implement cancellation fees generally if schools cancel.

If Real Talk is unable to travel to your booking venue Real Talk will provide a LIVE Zoom session as a substitute (complete with video multimedia’s, discussion, interactions etc).

(Nb: For full Reflection Days, this is a shortened version involving live video stream and some pre-recorded content)

Costs/Fees:

Online presentations will normally be charged at the same rate as the original booking and travel and accommodation expenses/charges will not be charged.

Limits on External Visitors to Schools:

If Real Talk presenters are unable to visit your school in person a video Zoom alternative will be provided. Nb: We have worked hard to make this a very engaging and effective alternative.

Why Real Talk May be Unable to Travel:

These include, but are not limited to, travel restrictions and border closures, unforeseen enforced quarantine, school and education office policies on external visitors, school, and education office policies on group gatherings or sick staff/students.

Border Closures, Travel Restrictions (including during visits) and Fees:

If we are unable to provide you with an in-person presentation due to restrictions before or during a Real Talk trip. Real Talk will attempt to reschedule the booking/remainder of the booking to a later date or complete the presentation via an alternate online format. We suggest that a fair fee for a visit prematurely ended to be the cost of the already presented sessions, the original planned travel cost, plus 50% of the additional costs incurred due to sudden changes (E.g., rebooking flights). This cost will be capped and will not exceed the original expected fee. We will attempt to provide missed sessions via video offerings, or live presentations on a later date, also within the total original expected booking fee.

Group Gathering Numbers - Reduced Venue Numbers:

Real Talk will work with the school to accommodate reduced numbers in student gatherings. This may be done by reducing group sizes and sessions.

Presenter Sickness or Symptoms:

As per our Covid-19 Health Policy staff will not present if they:

  • are confirmed Covid-19 positive

  • have clearly defined cold and flu like symptoms (Ie. likely to spread illness)

  • are awaiting test results for COVID-19

NB: in the case of presenter illness, we may offer an alternative delivery, but if this is not accepted and cancellation is required there will be no charge to the school.
